history
Formed: 2003
Place: Boston, MA
Members: 5 (hence the name The Click Five)
Consists of: a keyboardist, lead inger//guitar, backing vocals and lead guitar, drummer and bassist.
Genre: Power Pop

The Click Five formed in 2003 and called themselves, "The Click". The original and founding members were Joe, Ben and Ethan, and they were in a band at Berklee. Joey then joined the original three after his band he was in, disbanded, after graduating from Berklee.

They then decided to find a lead singer (after deciding none of themselves were lead singer material) and this is when they found Eric Dill. Joey had been childhood friends with Eric. They signed a deal with a record label called Lava Records.

Their first and debut album, "Greeting From Imrie House" was recorded and thus released on August the 16th 2005. During Eric's time in The Click Five, they toured with Ashlee Simpson, McFly (in the UK), The Backstreet Boys and The Veronicas (in Australia).

Things were looking sweet for The Click Five. But in March 2007, Eric formally announced he was leaving The Click Five to pursue an acting and a solo career. So the search began for a lead singer. They found him, at Berklee and his name was Kyle. Kyle was officially the lead singer from April 2007 onwards.

In May, just before the release of their second album, The Click Five toured the US so that fans could be introduced to Kyle (called The Fan Appreciation Tour).

In July, their second album Modern Minds and Pastimes was released in the US, and not long after, in Europe as well. (I actually got my copy in Hong Kong in April).

Since then, the band have toured Asia, with Happy Birthday's video consisting of a montage of clips from their tour in Asia.
